Container Vineyard in Japan

Bell Pepper Plant: 40+ fruit sets
Bell Pepper Plant: 40+ fruit sets A single Bell Pepper plant with 40+ fruit sets. This plant has a half-dozen siblings all doing the same bumper crop and all sickly when bought outside of a grocery store. Just top-dressed with our Be-1 Pellets and the love was returned with a mass of peppers. Thank you S.M. in North Carolina for the photo! rok-peppers

Murasaki-imo
Murasaki-imo Murasaki-imo are a rare variation of the popular Satsuma-imo in Japan. Grown mostly in Southwest Japan and Okinawa, the only difference is that the Murasaki-imo are this brilliant purple. Related to the American sweet potato, these are a little softer and milder sweet flavor, making a versatile addition to many dishes. rok-potatoes

Mustard Radish (Komatsuna) side by side
Mustard Radish (Komatsuna) side by side Roll'n with the changing seasons' harvest and planning some good eats for tomorrow. A little mustard spinach (Komatsuna) side by side...different plants, same results. Knowing that half the crop trials will look like the little guy on the left always kills me; however, the sacrifice highlights the benefits of focusing on microbes rok-radishes rok-roots
Persimmon Harvest
Persimmon Harvest Not a bad first year little persimmon harvest. Normally takes up to 7 years to bear fruit, but here we are at year 5. Dried is personal fav, but so many ways to serve up these healthy sweet fruits.
